Australian Reference Genome Atlas

The Australian Reference Genome Atlas (ARGA) lets you discover, select and access genomics data to answer biological questions in conservation, biosecurity, agriculture and more.

ARGA is:

  • An easy to use web portal to discover genetic and genomic data for Australian and Australian-relevant species

  • Fully subsidised for Australian researchers to use

  • Searchable by species, higher classification, data type or ecological and phenotypic traits

  • Supported by an extensive user guide

  • Regularly re-indexes leading repositories such as NCBI GenBank, Barcode of Life Data Systems, and the Bioplatforms Australia Data Portal

  • Cross-references genomic data with species and occurrence data from the Atlas of Living Australia

ARGA is an NCRIS-enabled platform powered by the Atlas of Living Australia, operated in collaboration with Bioplatforms Australia and Australian BioCommons, with investment from Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC).
