AI in Research Training Lead

The Australian BioCommons and Sydney Informatics Hub (SIH), University of Sydney are seeking an AI in Research Training Lead to design, deliver, and scale a national training program on the effective and responsible use of artificial intelligence tools in life science research.
This nationally significant role will empower researchers to apply AI methods to tasks such as text and code generation, data analysis, and literature synthesis, while building critical awareness of their limitations and ethical implications. Based at the University of Sydney, you will join a collaborative and diverse team committed to inclusive and open training and digital research capacity building across the life sciences and beyond.
Location: Moore Theological College, Sydney
Role type: Full time, fixed term until 30th June 2027.

Salary: $131,108 - $147,858 (HEO8) + 17% superannuation

SENIOR DevOps Engineer
Key details:
Operate and maintain production software deployments across cloud environments, deploying and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, and Ansible.
Develop operational automation and integration scripts, maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to the Galaxy Australia Project codebase through infrastructure optimisation.
Collaborate within a distributed multidisciplinary team using agile, iterative delivery methods and engage with diverse local, national, and international stakeholders to prioritise technical improvements.
