Galaxy Labs

Galaxy Labs are domain-specific entry points that lets researchers conduct guided, curated, and globally synchronised bioinformatics analysis.

Labs are designed to guide new users through tools, workflows, and training materials, and are part of the broader Galaxy Australia service, allowing users access to the same tools, resources and infrastructure.

Galaxy Labs:

  • Allow research communities to define a canonical representation of their domain using structured, reusable web components

  • Offer a unified and intuitive user interface

  • Foster FAIR principles by making research resources more Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable

Galaxy Labs can now be generated using the Galaxy Lab Engine.

Current Galaxy Labs available:

Microbiology Lab

Developed by the international microGalaxy community, this Lab provides a managed workspace that streamlines microbial research by integrating community-backed tools with global training resources.

Genome Lab

Genome Lab offers a curated collection of bioinformatics tools, workflows and tutorials tailored to data preparation, genome assembly and genome annotation.

Single Cell Lab

Access single cell omics analysis tutorials, tools, and workflows that let you analyse data without programming experience or private infrastructure.

Proteomics Lab

Analyse proteomics data with common tools conveniently sorted into categories. Each tool comes with descriptions and examples of required inputs, and includes links to tutorials and support.
