Jesseka Chadderton

Jesseka is Project Manager, Human Genome Informatics, working within the GUARDIANS program to support partner organisations to deliver national infrastructure and pilot innovative human genomics research approaches.

Jesseka joined us after three years in the public service with the Victorian Department of Health Analytics branch where she worked in Health System Performance reporting and as a strategic advisor to the Director of Insights.

Jess has a background in biomedical research with an undergraduate in Biomedicine and seven years of academic research experience based at Melbourne Uni's Department of Microbiology and Immunology and the Doherty Institute working primarily on T cell receptor structural interactions and immunity to influenza. She also spent two years with the RMIT Health Transformation lab focusing on solving complex problems in the healthcare sector through salutogenic design and systems thinking.

Jesseka’s professional interests include biomedical research, systems thinking, solution architecture, user experience, user centered design, and science communication.

When she’s not at work, Jesseka spends her time playing Ultimate Frisbee, listening to podcasts and live music, dog training, and planning her next hiking trip.
